The Top Steam Wishlisted Games for 2023

2023 is almost here, and the lineup of new games seems very exciting. Hogwarts Legacy

If you’re a fan of Harry Potter, then this one is sure to please. Hogwarts legacy is an open-world role-playing game set in the magical world first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Although its release was initially planned for 2022, this was pushed back to 10 February 2023 for PC, as well as PlayStation and Xbox.

What we know so far is that the game is set at Hogwarts during the 1800s, around a century before the events of the Harry Potter series. Your character will possess a key to an ancient secret that poses a threat to the wizarding world. Along your journey, you can explore and discover magical beasts, craft potions, master spell casting, upgrade your talents, and much more. You can pre-order the game on Steam for $59.99, or add it to your Wishlist and get notified when it’s on sale.

The Day Before

The Day Before is an open-world survival game set in a deadly, post-pandemic America. We don’t yet know what exactly has happened, but it’s clear something has gone very, very wrong. Survivors and zombie-like enemies, called the Infected, are fighting each other as they struggle to stay alive. If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead or the survival horror genre in general, you will likely enjoy this game.

Players will have to find abandoned vehicles, houses, and skyscrapers as they scavenge resources and many other necessary things – your only mission is to survive at all costs. The game is set to be released on March 1, 2023, and should be available to pre-order soon.

Based on previews, the game looks fantastic in just about every way. The gameplay and graphics are highly detailed and impressive, so if you’re a horror fan, this is definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Starfield

Starfield is a highly anticipated open-world game developed by Bethesda Game Studios, the team behind the popular Fallout and Elder Scrolls series. Despite taking quite a few years to develop, the game’s first gameplay reveal at E3 2022 received praise for its excellence and reassured fans about the quality of the gameplay.

The game is set in the year 2330 and players will be on a journey to solve humanity’s greatest mystery.  You will join the Constellation team as they investigate strange events occurring in space. In addition to facing hostile creatures that lurk in the dark space, you will also need to interact with various other Starfield factions, and not all of them are friendly. The game offers extensive customization options and allows players to explore over 1000 planets as they seek to uncover the mysteries of space. While no release date has been announced yet, it is expected to be released in the first half of 2023.

Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong is an upcoming Metroidvania video game developed and published by Team Cherry. It is set to be released on Windows, macOS, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Windows. The game was announced on February 14, 2019, as a sequel to the critically acclaimed Hollow Knight, with a target release date set to June 12, 2023.

In Hollow Knight: Silksong, players will follow the journey of Princess Hornet as she is kidnapped and sent to a strange and faraway planet as the guardian of Hollownest. During the game, players will discover new towns, complete missions, and test out new tools while facing over 150 new enemies and learning new moves in this unfamiliar land. As the sequel to the award-winning Hollow Knight, it is expected to be a highly engaging and impressive game.

Party Animals

Party Animals is a multiplayer, physics-based brawler game developed by Recreate Games and published by Source Technology. From the previews we’ve seen, the game focuses on cute and fuzzy animals that are hell-bent on causing maximum mayhem for no particular reason whatsoever. Players can choose their avatar from dozens of different animals, including cats, dogs, bunnies and dinosaurs, which are then let loose to fight against each other. This will involve jumping, tossing, punching, kicking and headbutting other fuzzies as well as the utilization of various weaponry, such as crossbows, baseball bats and sledge-hammers.

Simply, it looks like tons of fun! According to the Xbox and Bethesda E3 presentation, Party Animals will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PC soon. The game offers 100s of different ways to have brawling adventures as a fuzzy, and could be the perfect game for spending a Saturday night with friends. It is expected to be released in 2023, although no official release date has been announced yet. Pre-orders are not currently available, but you can add the game to your Steam wishlist now.
